The Villa Park Spartans topped the host Irvine Vaqueros volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Spartans now have a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Canyon for a Crestview test on Tuesday, September 13. Villa Park will confront a Comanches team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to St. Lucy's (Glendora, CA). The Comanches record now stands at 11-5.

The Vaqueros (4-4) will now prepare for their test against Beckman (Irvine, CA). The Patriots enter the Pacific Coast test with a 9-4 record. In their last test, Beckman was knocked off by Cathedral Catholic (San Diego, CA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
