The Maryville Christian Eagles volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting South-Doyle Cherokees to 0 in the Eagles non-league victory on Thursday.

The Eagles now have a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Apostolic Christian for a non-league game on Thursday, September 8. Maryville Christian will meet a team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Mount Pisgah Christian Academy (Oliver Springs, TN). The record now stands at 8-1.

The Cherokees (1-13) will now prepare for their game against Carter (Strawberry Plains, TN). The Green Hornets enter the AA District 4 game with a 4-7 record. In their last game, Carter gained a win over Pigeon Forge (Pigeon Forge, TN), 3-2, in a league game.
