Texas High School Football - Lufkin sneaks past A&M Consolidated

September 8, 2023: Lufkin, TX 75901

The Lufkin Panthers football squad scored 24 points and restricted the visiting A&M Consolidated Tigers to 17 in the Panthers non-league victory on Friday.

The Panthers now own a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to Longview for a 5A-1 Region II District 7 contest on Friday, September 15. Lufkin will play a Lobos squad coming off a 28-7 non-league win over Tyler Legacy (Tyler, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 2-1.

Coming up next, the Tigers play the Georgetown Eagles (Georgetown, TX) in a 5A-1 Region III District 11 contest, on Friday, September 22. A&M Consolidated will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 45-42 non-league loss to Liberty Hill (Liberty Hill, TX).
