North Carolina High School Football - Burns trounces Alexander Central

September 8, 2023: Taylorsville, NC 28681

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Burns Bulldogs football squad scored a big 50-7 victory over the Alexander Central Cougars.

In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC) in a 1A/2A Southern Piedmont match, on Friday, September 15. Burns will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Rams enter the match with a 0-5 record after their 41-8 non-league loss to Winston-Salem Prep (Winston-Salem, NC).

The Cougars (2-2) will now prepare for their match against Sun Valley (Monroe, NC). The Spartans enter the non-league match with a 4-0 record. In their last match, Sun Valley routed Parkwood (Monroe, NC), 49-0, in a non-league match.
