The Asbury Park Bishops football team (Asbury Park, NJ), was beaten 29-12 in Friday's league challenge with the host Ocean Township Spartans (Oakhurst, NJ)
The Spartans (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Shore Regional (West Long Branch, NJ). The Blue Devils come into the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Shore Regional achieved victory over KIPP Cooper Norcross (Camden, NJ), 48-18, in a non-league challenge.
The Bishops now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Holmdel for a Shore - Constitution challenge on Thursday, September 14. Asbury Park will meet a Hornets team coming off a 20-14 league win over St. John-Vianney (Holmdel, NJ). The Hornets record now stands at 2-0.
