The Rusk Eagles football team (Rusk, TX), was tipped 45-38 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Athens Hornets (Athens, TX)

The Hornets (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Kaufman (Kaufman, TX). The Lions come into the non-league challenge with a 0-3 record. In their last challenge, Kaufman was tipped by Terrell (Terrell, TX), 47-14, in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Alvarado for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 15. Rusk will meet a Indians team coming off a 57-3 non-league win over Lincoln (Dallas, TX). The Indians record now stands at 3-0.
