The Waldron Spartans held off the visiting Burr Oak Bobcats football team by a final score of 24-20 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Waldron improves its record to 2-1 on the season. The Spartans travel to Lenawee Christian (Adrian, MI) to confront the Cougars in a Southern Michigan - East (8 Man) outing on Friday, September 15. The Cougars go into the outing with a record of 3-0. Lenawee Christian won 44-8 in their recent league outing against Camden-Frontier (Camden, MI)

With the loss, Burr Oak moves to 0-3 on the season. The Bobcats travel to Colon (Colon, MI) to confront the Magi in a Southern Michigan - West (8 Man) outing on Friday, September 15.
