South Carolina High School Football - Chesnee topples R-S Central

September 8, 2023: Chesnee, SC 29323

The Chesnee Eagles (Chesnee, SC) football defeated the visiting R-S Central Hilltoppers (Rutherfordton, NC), 41-13 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Woodruff Wolverines (Woodruff, SC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 15. Chesnee will attempt to advance on its 3-1 season record. The Wolverines enter the bout with a 1-3 record after their 49-15 non-league loss to Belton-Honea Path (Honea Path, SC).

The Hilltoppers (1-2) will now prepare for their bout against Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC). The Bearcats enter the 1A/2A Mountain Foothills bout with a 1-3 record. In their last bout, Hendersonville lost by Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC), 28-21, in a non-league bout.
