Texas High School Football - Merkel drops to Clyde

September 8, 2023: Merkel, TX 79536

In Friday's non-league game, the Clyde Bulldogs (Clyde, TX) football team knocked off the host Merkel Badgers (Merkel, TX), by a score of 69-57.

The Bulldogs (3-0) will now prepare for their game against Ballinger (Ballinger, TX). The Bearcats come into the non-league game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, Ballinger was dropped by Stamford (Stamford, TX), 27-0, in a non-league game.

The Badgers now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bangs for a non-league game on Friday, September 15. Merkel will battle a Dragons team coming off a 42-6 non-league win over Grape Creek (San Angelo, TX). The Dragons record now stands at 1-2.
