In Friday's non-league game, the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks (Colfax, IA) football team tipped the visiting Saydel Eagles (Des Moines, IA), by a score of 20-14.

The Tigerhawks (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont (Eddyville, IA). The Rockets come into the 1A District 6 game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont got by East Marshall (Le Grand, IA), 36-29, in a non-league game.

The Eagles now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Greene County for a 2A District 8 game on Friday, September 15. Saydel will battle a Rams team coming off a 41-6 non-league win over Atlantic (Atlantic, IA). The Rams record now stands at 2-1.
