North Carolina High School Football - East Rutherford routed by North Lincoln

The East Rutherford Cavaliers football team (Forest City, NC), was ripped 56-21 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host North Lincoln Knights (Lincolnton, NC)

The Knights (2-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Statesville (Statesville, NC). The Greyhounds come into the 3A Western Foothills challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Statesville trounced South Iredell (Statesville, NC), 22-15, in a non-league challenge.

The Cavaliers now sport a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Brevard for a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills challenge on Friday, September 15. East Rutherford will meet a Blue Devils team coming off a 48-0 non-league win over North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC). The Blue Devils record now stands at 2-2.
