The Elgin Wildcats football team (Elgin, TX), was beaten 33-7 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Rudder Rangers (Bryan, TX)

The Rangers (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Chaparral (Killeen, TX). The Bobcats come into the non-league challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Chaparral achieved victory over Marble Falls (Marble Falls, TX), 34-20, in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cedar Creek for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 15. Elgin will meet a Eagles team coming off a 35-14 non-league loss to Hays (Buda, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 0-3.
