Nevada High School Football - Fernley drops to Elko

In Friday's league game, the Elko Indians (Elko, NV) football team knocked off the visiting Fernley Vaqueros (Fernley, NV), by a score of 42-21.

The Indians (1-2) will now prepare for their game against South Tahoe (South Lake Tahoe, CA). The Vikings come into the 3A Northern game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, South Tahoe was knocked off by Churchill County (Fallon, NV), 48-0, in a league game.

The Vaqueros now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Truckee for a 3A Northern game on Friday, September 15. Fernley will battle a Wolverines team coming off a 41-19 league win over Spring Creek (Spring Creek, NV). The Wolverines record now stands at 4-0.
