The Pelion Panthers football team (Pelion, SC), was ripped 55-9 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Gilbert Indians (Gilbert, SC)

The Indians (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Lexington (Lexington, SC). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 4-0 record. In their last challenge, Lexington trounced Blythewood (Blythewood, SC), 32-7, in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ninety Six for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 22. Pelion will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 21-0 non-league win over Mid-Carolina (Prosperity, SC). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-1.
