The Newnan Cougars football squad scored 21 points and restricted the visiting Hardaway Hawks to 0 in the Cougars non-league victory on Friday.

The Cougars now possess a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Paulding County for a AAAAAA Region 5 battle on Friday, September 15. Newnan will play a Patriots squad coming off a 44-7 league loss to East Paulding (Dallas, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 0-4.

Coming up next, the Hawks play the Harris County Tigers (Hamilton, GA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 15. Hardaway will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Tigers enter the battle with a 3-1 record after their 27-19 non-league win over Howard (Macon, GA).
