The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Holy Cross Crusaders (Midland, TX) and the host Sanderson Eagles (Sanderson, TX), observed Holy Cross's football squad bounce Sanderson by a count of 78-30.

The Crusaders now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Grandfalls-Royalty for a non-league contest on Friday, September 15. Holy Cross will play a Cowboys squad coming off a 48-42 non-league win over Fort Davis (Fort Davis, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 2-1.

Coming up next, the Eagles play the Van Horn Eagles (Van Horn, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 15. Sanderson will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 2-1 record after their 48-0 non-league win over Immanuel Christian (El Paso, TX).
