The Homer Mariners football team (Homer, AK), was beaten 48-20 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Palmer Moose (Palmer, AK)
The Moose (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against North Pole (North Pole, AK). The Patriots come into the Northern Lights-Railbelt challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, North Pole was beaten by West Valley (Fairbanks, AK), 36-27, in a league challenge.
The Mariners now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Houston for a Mid Alaska challenge on Friday, September 15. Homer will meet a Hawks team coming off a 14-13 league win over Kenai Central (Kenai, AK). The Hawks record now stands at 4-1.
