    The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Ponder Lions (Ponder, TX) and the host Krum Bobcats (Krum, TX), observed Ponder's football squad thwart Krum by a tally of 22-9.

    The Lions now possess a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Godley for a non-league contest on Friday, September 15. Ponder will play a Wildcats squad coming off a 32-8 non-league loss to Paradise (Paradise, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-3.

    Coming up next, the Bobcats play the Caddo Mills Foxes (Caddo Mills, TX) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 15. Krum will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Foxes go into the contest with a 2-0 record after their 37-34 non-league win over Canton (Canton, TX).
