Tennessee High School Football - Macon County sneaks past Smith County

The Macon County Tigers (Lafayette, TN) football edged the visiting Smith County Owls (Carthage, TN), 6-3 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Tigers face the Cumberland County Jets (Crossville, TN) in a 4A Region 4 bout, on Friday, September 15. Macon County will attempt to advance on its 3-1 season record. The Jets enter the bout with a 2-2 record after their 63-0 non-league win over Pickett County (Byrdstown, TN).

The Owls (3-1) will now prepare for their bout against Trousdale County (Hartsville, TN). The Yellowjackets enter the 2A Region 3 bout with a 2-2 record. In their last bout, Trousdale County nudged RePublic (Nashville, TN), 48-8, in a non-league bout.
