In Friday's league game, the Midland Trail Patriots (Hico, WV) football team knocked off the visiting Meadow Bridge Wildcats (Meadow Bridge, WV), by a score of 24-0.
The Patriots (3-0) will now prepare for their game against Wheeling Central Catholic (Wheeling, WV). The Maroon Knights come into the non-league game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Wheeling Central Catholic was knocked off by St. Clairsville (St. Clairsville, OH), 60-24, in a non-league game.
The Wildcats now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bath County for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 15. Meadow Bridge will meet a Chargers team coming off a 47-6 non-league win over Richwood (Richwood, WV). The Chargers record now stands at 3-0.
