Texas High School Football - Pecos succumbs to Sweetwater

September 8, 2023: Pecos, TX 79772

The Sweetwater Mustangs thwarted the host Pecos Eagles football team by a count of 53-40 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Sweetwater upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Big Spring (Big Spring, TX) to encounter the Steers in a non-league outing on Friday, September 15. The Steers go into the outing with a record of 1-2. Big Spring lost 52-14 in their recent non-league bout against Monahans (Monahans, TX)

The Eagles (1-1) will now prepare for their bout against Stanton (Stanton, TX). The Buffaloes enter the non-league bout with a 1-2 record. In their last bout, Stanton lost by Forsan (Forsan, TX), 32-14, in a non-league bout.
