In Friday's non-league game, the Rosewood Eagles (Goldsboro, NC) football team knocked off the visiting Southern Wayne Saints (Dudley, NC), by a final score of 30-12.
The Eagles (1-3) will now prepare for their game against Northside - Pinetown (Pinetown, NC). The Panthers come into the non-league game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Northside - Pinetown toppled Bear Grass Charter (Williamston, NC), 49-6, in a non-league game.
The Saints now hold a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host East Wake for a 3A Quad County game on Friday, September 15. Southern Wayne will battle a Warriors team coming off a 56-0 non-league loss to Rolesville (Rolesville, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 0-3.
