The Coventry Oakers volleyball team (Coventry, RI), was dropped 2-0 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting La Salle Academy Rams (Providence, RI)

The Rams (1-1) will now prepare for their bout against Portsmouth (Portsmouth, RI). The Patriots go into the non-league bout with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, Portsmouth was topped by South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI), 2-1, in a non-league bout.

The Oakers now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they travel to Mount St. Charles Academy for a non-league bout on Monday, September 11. Coventry will play a Mounties squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Chariho (Wood River Junction, RI). The Mounties record now stands at 0-1.
