The Whitney RVT Owls soccer team (Hamden, CT), was nipped 1-0 in Friday's non-league outing with the visiting Derby Red Raiders (Derby, CT)
With the win, Derby advances its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Red Raiders host Oxford (Oxford, CT) to play the Wolverines in a Naugatuck Valley outing on Tuesday, September 12. The Wolverines go into the outing with a record of 1-0.
The Owls now have a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Platt RVT for a Connecticut Technical contest on Tuesday, September 12.
