In Friday's non-league battle, the host New Covenant Gryphons soccer squad scored a close 1-0 win over the Southwest Virginia Academy Conquerors.
The Gryphons (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against Covenant (Charlottesville, VA). The Eagles go into the NVIAC battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Covenant nipped Carlisle (Axton, VA), 6-0, in a non-league battle.
The Conquerors (0-2) will now prepare for their battle against Carlisle (Axton, VA). The Chiefs go into the non-league battle with a 1-1 record.
