The St. Elizabeth Hornets (St. Elizabeth, MO) softball nipped the host Carl Junction Bulldogs (Carl Junction, MO), 6-5 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Hornets (8-0) will now prepare for their bout against Nevada (Nevada, MO). The Tigers go into the non-league bout with a 10-1 record. In their last bout, Nevada held off North Point (Wentzville, MO), 7-4, in a non-league bout.
The Bulldogs now possess a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to California for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 9. Carl Junction will confront a Pintos squad coming off a 10-4 non-league loss to McDonald County (Anderson, MO). The Pintos record now stands at 2-5.
