Clinton Cardinals (Clinton, MO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Lafayette County Huskers (Higginsville, MO), 10-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Cardinals now own a 5-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Boonville for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 9. Clinton will battle a Pirates squad coming off a 8-2 non-league loss to Smith-Cotton (Sedalia, MO). The Pirates record now stands at 0-5.

With the loss, Lafayette County falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Huskers travel to Holden (Holden, MO) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 12. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 5-3.
