The Kickapoo Chiefs (Springfield, MO) softball routed the host Truman Patriots (Independence, MO), 9-4 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Chiefs (8-1) will now prepare for their bout against Kearney (Kearney, MO). The Bulldogs go into the non-league bout with a 7-3 record. In their last bout, Kearney was routed by Eureka (Eureka, MO), 8-6, in a non-league bout.
The Patriots now possess a 4-10 record. They play next when they host Marquette for a non-league bout on Saturday, September 9. Truman will confront a Mustangs squad coming off a 8-1 non-league loss to Grain Valley (Grain Valley, MO). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-6.
