Palmer Ridge Bears (Monument, CO) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lamar Thunder (Lamar, CO), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Bears now sport a 6-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pueblo County for a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 9. Palmer Ridge will face a Hornets squad coming off a 9-6 non-league win over Cheyenne Mountain (Colorado Springs, CO). The Hornets record now stands at 7-2.

With the loss, Lamar falls to 8-4 on the campaign. The Thunder travel to Cheyenne Mountain (Colorado Springs, CO) to face the Red-Tailed Hawks in a non-league challenge on Saturday, September 9. The Red-Tailed Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 8-3. Cheyenne Mountain lost 9-6 in their recent non-league challenge against Pueblo County (Pueblo, CO)
