The New Bloomfield Wildcats the host Sturgeon Bulldogs softball squad by a final score of 10-8 in Friday's non-league battle.
The Wildcats (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against Linn (Linn, MO). The Wildcats go into the Class 2 District 9 test with a 7-3 record. In their last test, Linn edged Belle (Belle, MO), 10-3, in a league test.
The Bulldogs (0-3) will now prepare for their test against Westran (Huntsville, MO). The Hornets come into the Class 1 District 6 test with a 4-1 record. In their last test, Westran edged Scotland County (Memphis, MO), 6-1, in a non-league test.
