The Bell Gardens Lancers topped the host Valley View Eagles volleyball team by a score of 2-0 in Friday's non-league test.
The Lancers now have a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to San Gabriel for a non-league test on Saturday, September 9. Bell Gardens will confront a Matadors team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Saugus (Saugus, CA). The Matadors record now stands at 5-6.
The Eagles (3-9) will now prepare for their test against St. Anthony (Long Beach, CA). The Saints enter the non-league test with a 3-6 record. In their last test, St. Anthony was knocked off by Etiwanda (Etiwanda, CA), 2-0, in a non-league test.
