The Braden River Pirates held off the visiting Newsome Wolves volleyball team by a score of 2-1 in Friday's non-league test.

The Pirates now have a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shorecrest Prep for a non-league test on Friday, September 8. Braden River will confront a Chargers team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Pinellas Park (Largo, FL). The Chargers record now stands at 2-1.

The Wolves (4-3) will now prepare for their test against Land O' Lakes (Land O' Lakes, FL). The Gators enter the non-league test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Land O' Lakes was nudged by Sunlake (Land O' Lakes, FL), 3-0, in a non-league test.
