The Cesar Chavez Champions volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the host Fairfax Stampede to 1 in the Champions non-league victory on Friday.

The Champions now have a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cactus for a non-league game on Saturday, September 9. Cesar Chavez will confront a Cobras team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Bradshaw Mountain (Prescott Valley, AZ). The Cobras record now stands at 2-2.

The Stampede (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Buckeye (Buckeye, AZ). The Hawks enter the non-league game with a 6-6 record. In their last game, Buckeye dropped by Parker (Parker, AZ), 2-1, in a non-league game.
