The Mt. St. Joseph Academy Green Wave held off the host Poultney Blue Devils soccer team by a tally of 4-3 in Monday's league game.

Next, the Green Wave face the Randolph Ghosts (Randolph, VT) in a Capital bout, on Wednesday, September 10. Mt. St. Joseph Academy will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record. The Ghosts go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 8-0 non-league loss to Lyndon Institute (Lyndon Center, VT).

With the loss, Poultney moves to 2-2 on the year. The Blue devils travel to West Rutland (West Rutland, VT) to play the Golden Horde in a SVL-D bout on Friday, September 12. The Golden Horde enter the game with a record of 3-0. West Rutland won 8-2 in their recent league game against Long Trail (Dorset, VT)
