In Monday's non-league outing, the host Clinton Dark Horses soccer squad scored a tight 5-1 victory over the North Lenoir Hawks.
The Dark Horses (5-1) will now prepare for their outing against James Kenan (Warsaw, NC). The Tigers go into the non-league outing with a 3-1 record. In their last outing, James Kenan got by East Duplin (Beulaville, NC), 2-1, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Hawks play the New Bern Bears (New Bern, NC) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, September 10. North Lenoir will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Bears go into the outing with a 1-2 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Croatan (Newport, NC).
