In Monday's non-league outing, the host Lumberton Pirates soccer squad scored a tight 4-1 victory over the South View Tigers.
The Pirates (3-1) will now prepare for their outing against Whiteville (Whiteville, NC). The Wolfpack go into the non-league outing with a 1-3 record. In their last outing, Whiteville got by Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC), 2-1, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Tigers confront the Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC) in a non-league test, on Wednesday, September 10. South View will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Fighting Scots come into the test with a 0-2 record after their 6-1 non-league loss to Richmond Senior (Rockingham, NC).
