The Discovery Canyon Thunder softball squad (Colorado Springs, CO), was routed 13-5 in Monday's non-league contest with the visiting Elizabeth Cardinals (Elizabeth, CO)

With the triumph, Elizabeth improves its record to 2-2 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Sand Creek (Colorado Springs, CO) to face the Scorpions in a non-league contest on Tuesday, September 9. The Scorpions enter the contest with a record of 1-0.

The Thunder now hold a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Pueblo West for a non-league contest on Friday, September 12.
