Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Glenbrook North Spartans (Northbrook, IL) and the host Maine West Warriors (Des Plaines, IL), observed Glenbrook North's volleyball team hold off Maine West by a count of 2-1.

The Spartans (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Libertyville (Libertyville, IL). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, Libertyville tipped Fremd (Palatine, IL), 2-0, in a non-league battle.

The Warriors now own a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Maine South for a non-league battle on Tuesday, September 9.
