Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Valparaiso Vikings (Valparaiso, IN) and the visiting Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies (Plymouth, IN), observed Valparaiso's volleyball team hold off Plymouth by a count of 2-1.

The Vikings (1-3) will now prepare for their battle against Crown Point (Crown Point, IN). The Bulldogs go into the battle with a 9-3 record. In their last battle, Crown Point tipped Floyd Central (Floyds Knobs, IN), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

The Pilgrims/Rockies now own a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host NorthWood for a battle on Thursday, September 11.
