The Grants Pirates (Grants, NM) soccer overwhelmed the visiting Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM), 5-0 in Monday's non-league challenge.
The Pirates now hold a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Bloomfield for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 9. Grants will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 5-1 non-league loss to Santa Teresa (Santa Teresa, NM). The Bobcats record now stands at 3-5.
The Bengals (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Rehoboth Christian (Rehoboth, NM). The Lynx enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Rehoboth Christian held off St. Johns (St. Johns, AZ), 3-2, in a non-league contest.
