In Monday's non-league match, the host Bowdon Red Devils softball team scored a tight 8-4 win over the Paulding County Patriots.

The Red Devils (9-6) will now prepare for their match against Manchester (Manchester, GA). The Blue Devils enter the 1A D-II Region 7 game with a 2-11 record. In their last game, Manchester edged Kendrick (Columbus, GA), 20-0, in a non-league battle.

With the loss, Paulding County moves to 10-7 on the season. The Patriots travel to Carrollton (Carrollton, GA) to confront the Trojans in a non-league battle on Wednesday, September 10. The Trojans come into the battle with a record of 11-1. Carrollton 0-0 in their recent league battle against Douglas County (Douglasville, GA)
