In Monday's non-league match, the host Penney Hornets softball team scored a nice 10-0 victory over the Brookfield Bulldogs.

The Hornets (2-0) will now prepare for their match against North Platte (Dearborn, MO). The Panthers go into the non-league match with a 4-0 record. In their last match, North Platte topped Stewartsville (Stewartsville, MO), 10-1, in a non-league game.

The Bulldogs now hold a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Macon for a non-league game on Tuesday, September 9.
