In Monday's non-league match, the visiting Latta Panthers softball team scored a tight 8-6 win over the Dickson Comets.
The Panthers (9-6) will now prepare for their match against Dibble (Dibble, OK). The Demons come into the 2A match with a 1-4 record. In their last match, Dibble by Lindsay (Lindsay, OK), 8-0, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Comets confront the Davis Wolves (Davis, OK) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, September 9. Dickson will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Wolves enter the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 5-1 league win over Comanche (Comanche, OK).
