The Trojans enter the game with a record of 7-5. Telfair County won 11-4 in their recent non-league match against Dodge County (Eastman, GA)

In their next game, the Purple Hurricane battle the Jeff Davis Yellowjackets (Hazlehurst, GA) in a 1A D-I Region 1 match, on Tuesday, September 9. Fitzgerald will attempt to better on its 2-14 season record. The Yellowjackets go into the match with a 9-3 record after their 14-1 league win over Berrien (Nashville, GA).
