The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the North Shelby Raiders (Shelbyville, MO) and the host Westran Hornets (Huntsville, MO), observed North Shelby's softball team get by Westran by a tally of 3-2.

The Raiders (2-0) will now prepare for their bout against Paris (Paris, MO). The Coyotes enter the non-league contest with a 3-0 record.

The Hornets now hold a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to Canton for a non-league match on Tuesday, September 9.
