In Monday's non-league test, the Smith-Cotton Tigers (Sedalia, MO) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Warrensburg Tigers (Warrensburg, MO), by a tally of 18-9.

The Tigers now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fort Osage for a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 10.

In their next game, the Tigers clash with the Harrisonville Wildcats (Harrisonville, MO) in a Class 3 District 14 bout, on Thursday, September 11. Warrensburg will attempt to advance on its 0-5 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 1-2 record after their 11-0 league loss to Oak Grove (Oak Grove, MO).
