In Monday's non-league challenge, the host Barren County Trojans volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Edmonson County Wildcats.

The Trojans (9-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Warren East (Bowling Green, KY). The Raiders come into the District 15 challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last test, Warren East nudged Edmonson County (Brownsville, KY), 3-0, in a non-league test.

The Wildcats now sport a 4-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grayson County for a District 12 test on Tuesday, September 9. Edmonson County will face a Cougars squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over McLean County (Calhoun, KY). The Cougars record now stands at 9-2.
