Nebraska High School Football - Burwell succumbs to Ainsworth

September 9, 2022: Ainsworth, NE 69210

The Ainsworth Bulldogs thwarted the visiting Burwell Longhorns football team by a count of 34-12 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Ainsworth upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Bulldogs host Niobrara/Verdigre (Niobrara, NE) to encounter the Cougars in a D2 District 4 (8 Man) outing on Friday, September 16. The Cougars go into the outing with a record of 1-2. Niobrara/Verdigre won 44-14 in their recent non-league bout against Walthill (Walthill, NE)

The Longhorns (1-2) will now prepare for their bout against Ansley/Litchfield (Ansley, NE). The Spartans enter the D2 District 7 (8 Man) bout with a 1-2 record. In their last bout, Ansley/Litchfield defeated Pleasanton (Pleasanton, NE), 36-6, in a non-league bout.
