The Chase County Longhorns topped the visiting Amherst Broncos football team by a final score of 24-6 in Friday's non-league outing.

With the win, Chase County improves its record to 2-1 on the season. The Longhorns host Gibbon (Gibbon, NE) to confront the Buffaloes in a non-league outing on Friday, September 16. The Buffaloes go into the outing with a record of 0-3. Gibbon lost 46-21 in their recent non-league outing against St. Cecilia (Hastings, NE)

With the loss, Amherst moves to 0-3 on the season. The Broncos host Doniphan-Trumbull (Doniphan, NE) to confront the Cardinals in a non-league outing on Friday, September 16. The Cardinals go into the outing with a record of 1-2. Doniphan-Trumbull lost 41-12 in their recent non-league outing against Wilber-Clatonia (Wilber, NE)
