Arizona High School Football - Bagdad held off by Williams

September 9, 2022: Bagdad, AZ 86321

In Friday's non-league game, the Williams Vikings (Williams, AZ) football team tipped the host Bagdad Sultans (Bagdad, AZ), by a final score of 26-20.

The Vikings (4-0) will now prepare for their game against Mayer (Mayer, AZ). The Wildcats come into the 1A North (8 Man) contest with a 0-4 record. In their last contest, Mayer was nipped by Mogollon (Heber, AZ), 61-6, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Sultans encounter the Mohave Accelerated Patriots (Bullhead City, AZ) in a 1A West (8 Man) contest, on Friday, September 16. Bagdad will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Patriots go into the contest with a 1-3 record after their 48-0 non-league loss to San Manuel (San Manuel, AZ).
